RE: Invitation to participate in Her Presence in Colours VII – International Women Artists’ Exhibition – Korea.

Dear fellow women artists,

 

Greetings!

 

It is our pleasure to inform you that Her Presence in Colours VII – International Women Artists Exhibition – Korea will be held from Tuesday, September 25 2006 until Sunday October 1 2006 at the Dague Art and Cultural Center.

 

As with previous exhibitions in the series, a full-colour exhibition catalogue will be produced and each participating artist will receive two copies of the catalogue. The catalogue will have approximately 130 pages and measure 21cm X 29cm.

 

There will be a grand opening on Sept. 25, 18;00, 2006 which should be well attended by artists, art lovers, art dealers, dignitaries from local, state and federal politics and representatives from various foreign countries.

 

As a member of INWAC and the Chairperson of INWAA - Korea (a sub-center of INWAC), it is my pleasure to co-organize this exhibition with the Conservatory of Fine Arts and present it here in Dague, Korea.

 

I welcome the women artists of different regions with different ethnic backgrounds to participate in this meaningful event.

 

 

2.Theme

 The theme for Her Presence in Colours VII - International Women Artists’ Exhibition – Korea is Life of Colours . A number of 100 women artists will present their artworks that reflects the theme.

 

3. The objectives

  1. To promote goodwill and international friendship amongst the women artists.

  2. To provide the opportunity for people to gain insights into the unique essence of women’s art  and the contribution of women artists in offering their truthful and honest self in art.

It is hoped that through Her Presence in Colours series of exhibitions a true sense of cultural understanding and harmonious international relationships will be fostered by all those who see and experience these exhibitions.

 

4. Cultural Exchange Activities and Educational Conference
it is hoped that our overseas guests will come to Korea for one week, from 2
4 th September 2006 until 30 September 2006, and take part in the related cultural activities including art conference, cultural visits and sight seeing. Details of the program of events  will be passed onto to artists in due course.

 

5. Accomodation

The organizing committee is arranging for accommodation for all our overseas guests. Volunteers from Dague will offer our overseas guests one week's accommodation in their homes.

 

Alternatively, our overseas guests may choose to stay in Hotel style accommodation. The prices for Hotels are almost US$60 to70(10% discounted and no meals).  The organizer in Korea will assist in the booking of hotel and will find out the cheaper rates for hotels.
