Artists’ statement:
I came to
“Flight” is a design based on the flight of a bird, which to me, is a symbol of freedom. We have a saying “free as a bird”, and the sight of a bird soaring effortlessly into the sky is a wonderfully liberating image. However, total freedom is not always desirable. We all value the ties we have to those we love, our home and friends.
In my painting I am trying to express the freedom of spirit, which is close to my heart.
