Freelance illustrator working for several publishing companies on both adult’s and children’s books.

Working creatively with an Australian woman writer on thematic collections of poetry. Producing books (sometimes as objects of art) including writing, illustrating and construction.

Activity as an artist in the community from the mid 1980’s, teaching drawing and painting across all age groups. Involved with primary and secondary schools and with art material suppliers.

Flower Shadows is one of a series of paintings which use motifs taken from the vine, fruit, seeds, and flower of the passionfruit plant. The series explores the interconnecting relationship between the external and internal world of life’s natural cycles such as the seasons, night and day, growth and decay, fragility and strength. These themes are inspired by Celtic Art and Philosophy, and by the luminous colours of Medieval Illuminated Manuscripts.
