I have had the good fortune of teaching  English as a Second

Language  since 1988.  Being immersed in the lives of my students from many nations, I have been able to feed my curiosity and appreciation for their cultures from around the world.

I have experienced a philosophical draw to the Eastern aesthetic and its spiritual expression through Confucianism, Taoism and Buddhism.  My  travels have taken me to 11 Asian countries. As the President of Oregon Women’s Caucus for Art (for 7 years), I coordinated the Cultural Sensitivities IV in Portland, Oregon in 2009. Then in 2010 40 women artists  came to Portland from 25 different countries for Her Presence in Colours  IX.  The connection with these bi-annual exhibitions has added much value to my life.  I treasure the interesting women artists I have met.
