Auyeung Wing Mui Grace


Grace Auyeung was born in Guangzhou, China. She furthered her studies in Canada obtaining a B.A degree with a double major in Psychology and Sociology. Thereafter, she spent more time on psychological research and master degree courses. In 1971, she moved to live in the United States until her return to Hong Kong with her family in 1972. She had served in the Hong Kong Government before turning to the commercial field as managing director..

In 1981, Auyeung began to study Chinese Calligraphy under Master Wong Shiu Hin and often took part in the joint calligraphy exhibitions presented by Southern Breeze Calligraphy Society. From 1992 to 1996, she attended Chinese Landscape classes conducted by Master Hung Hoi at The School of Professional and Continuing Education of the Hong Kong University(SPACE). Subsequently, she received an Outstanding Student Award from SPACE. In years 1996 and 1998, her artwork was selected into the “Contemporary Hong Kong Biennial Art Exhibition". In 2001, she held her Solo Exhibition “Truthful Exploration” at the Kwang Hwa Information and Culture Center. Her works were exhibited not only in Hong Kong and Mainland China, but also in many countries abroad.

She is currently the chairperson of Art Image Society; member of the Federation of Canadian Artists and the Southern Breeze Calligraphy Society.
