After graduating from Rhode
Island School of Design in 1973 with a BFA in Graphic Design, I spent 20
years designing books, museum publications, signage, corporate identity
and exhibits.
Since 1986 I have split my time between graphic design and printmaking.
I first started combining drawing and collage at RISD in the early 1970s
as a way to develop compositions with a dynamic sense of space.
In the mid 1980s I began to experiment with monotype, often ncorporating
collage into the work, as I found it provided extra visual richness and
layers of meaning.
In addition to monotypes, I¡¯m now adding collage to collagraphs, solar
plate intaglio prints and polyester plate lithographs.
I have had 3 solo exhibitions, and my work has been included in group
exhibitions in California, Oregon, and Washinton, Daegu, South Korea and
Nicosia, Cyprus.
I am an artist member of Print Arts Northwest.
