Born in California, coming from a family of artists I began painting at an early age. I am self taught and still a student of nature and everyone that surrounds me .It wasn’t until I moved to Oregon in 1997 where I discovered my ideal theme; the reflection of the landscape, that would allow me to express my deepest truth. I continued my informal studying. I spent the next decade painting commissioned art for private collectors portraying nature, and during this period co-owned an Art Gallery and served as the Art Director.
There are many layers to the evolution of my paintings. My most recent works convey the discovery and acceptance of my own human layers. Exposing layers without cluttering the surface can be an enduring labor; the results are the evolution of ones authentic self.
