I use my art to express myself and my innermost feelings, I communicate my deepest feelings about peace, nature and my own connection to the divine. I value creativity, life and love above everything, especially the ignorance and narrow mindedness that lead to aggression and war. If every one of us could work together to create peace and eliminate war, learn to communicate and love neighbor, then we could truly create peace on earth. Women are live-givers, not life-takers. If all men and women could join together in the act of nurturing life, by working to create rather than destroy, then we could create a much better, more peaceful, world. I felt helpless when Bush invaded Iraq-helpless and angry –because my own family supported what he was doing. I did not vote for him, and did not feel responsible, but still I was outraged by it. Diana Talbot
specializes in oil painting and mixed collage. She often uses strong
color in her imagery that is evocative of certain feelings and issues,
such as war and peace as well as her strong connection to the natural
and spiritual world. She began to paint when she was living in New
Mexico at the age of 27. She holds degrees in History and Classical
Literature, and she studied painting at the New Hampshire Institute of
Art. She exhibits her work internationally and in the U.S. More of her
