See Yee Wah studied Electrical Engineering at the University of Newcastle, Australia, under the Colombo Plan scholarship awarded by the Singapore Government. She graduated in 1978 with a Bachelor of Engineering (Hons) degree and returned to work in the telecommunications industry in Singapore for over 15 years.  Since childhood days, however, Yee Wah has nurtured an avid love for art, having grown up in an artistic family.  Her father, the late Mr See Cheen Tee was a second generation pioneer artist in the Singapore art scene.
After the death of her father in 1996, Yee Wah resigned from her full-time management position in the former Singapore Telecoms to dedicate her time towards the publication of a coffee table art book featuring the life time works of her father.
The book entitled “See Cheen Tee – Artist Extraordinaire” was launched by His Excellency, Mr S. R Nathan, President of Singapore in 2001. This art book marked Yee Wah’s first endeavour as an editor and publisher.  During this time she studied art at Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts, preferring media such as oil, pastel and charcoal.
Yee Wah now manages the collection of her father’s art, organizing or participating in exhibitions held both in Singapore and overseas, the more notable ones being held in museums such as Fukuoka Asian Art Museum, Singapore History Museum   and National Museum of Singapore.
Her concern on the global warming issue had recently instigated Yee Wah to start a plantation in Cambodia to cultivate the biofuel plant, jatropha.  It was also her way of contributing her little part towards the social development of the village folks there.  She enjoys travelling immensely, not only to continue to be awed by nature's beauty but also to meet people from different cultures and walks of life. Yee Wah believes in giving one’s best in whatever endeavour one sets out to accomplish. Artist Statement
I believe peace is the culmination of all of one’s experiences of overcoming challenges, saying ‘yes’ to life and its vicissitudes no matter how initially daunting they may seem, striving towards an ethics of perpetual self-overcoming and personal betterment. Owing to this courageousness, inner peace can truly be attained because one then has faith and resolution in one’s own emotional resources and intellectual-psychic capacities to be deeply happy despite whatever difficulties life throws at you.

As such, we should perhaps stop thinking of peace as a passive state of being, akin to a refusal to engage with the world in favour of some ascetic and insular state of withdrawal. Rather, peace should be viewed and felt as an active vitality towards committed engagement- with others, with society and with the world. And in turn, we would be radically transformed by such positive encounters”
