Artist Statement

Art flows within colours, amidst women colours bloom.

艺术在色彩之间游走，色彩在她们之间绽放。

In the past 20 years, her life as a businesswoman and an artist has been closely intertwined.

(1992 - 1995) Her journey began when she partook in the European-style flower arrangement, attaining numerous awards in floral arrangement competitions which further prompted her to obtain the International Floral Design (IDF) certificate in 1999.

(1995 to 1997) also saw her participating and attaining various trophies in international ballroom dance competitions.

Since 1997, having immersed herself in the world of Chinese ink painting, she was fortunate to have exhibited in 28 international group and more than 30 exhibitions in Malaysia, 5 of which were held for charity.

She also organized the New Expression of Asian Art 2006 whereby 13 countries were invited to form a group exhibition in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

(1999 – 2007) Chief planner of the Malaysian Chinese ink painting society, she was in charge of the first Malaysian Chinese ink painting camp.

For the past 2 years, she has ventured into four-wheel-drive expeditions.

October / November 2006 – South America. Through 7 countries with highlights of Bolivia / Peru. Distance: 22400 kilometers.

July / August 2007 – London to KL, via the Middle East. Distance: 18000 kilometers.

January 2008– South- Eastern Africa, Namibia, Botswana, Malawi, Zambia, Tanzania, and Kenya. Distance: 9500 kilometers.

二十多年在商海与艺坛游走，最先是沉迷在欧式插花艺术，92年至95年先后拿过几个插花比赛大奖，99年考取国际“IFD – 国际花艺教育研究基金会”之讲师文凭。95年至97年参加国标舞比赛，曾获无数奖状。97年至今浸淫於中国水墨画里，有幸参与国外联展二十八次，国内联展三十余次，其中有五次义展。

曾主办“2006年第三届亚洲新意美术交流展”十三国联展於马来西亚。於1999年到2007年当马来西亚水墨画协会之策划主任，其间负责主办“第一届马来西亚水墨画研习营”。

近二年来，投入“四轮驱动车探险之旅”。於2006年十月及十一月环游南美洲七个国家，全程二万二千四百公里。2007年七月及八月从伦敦开车回马来西亚，进入中东，尼泊尔，西藏，丽江，转道回府，共十四个国家，一万八千里路云和月。2008年正月一日至二月六日踏进人烟稀少之南非及东非 – 纳米比亚、赞比亚、坦桑尼亚及肯尼亚等等，全程九千五百公里。
