Elsie Lee Ai See painted with water colours during the period 1968 -1980 . 1981 -1989 , she studied Chinese brush painting under the tutelage of Mr. Ling Nan Loong and Mr. Chow E Chou, the most reputable Chinese brush artists in Indonesia. Oil painting under the tutelage of Madam Ganski of the United States of America.1990 -1993, she studied at Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts, Singapore and graduated Diploma in Fine Arts: Majoring in oil painting and minor in sculpture. 1990 – 2007, she participated in many art exhibitions in Singapore and various states of Malaysia including `Her Presence In Color Exhibitions’ in Bangkok, Thailand; Penang & Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and Melbourne, Australia and `Asia Modern Art Exhibition’ in Japan and China. 1994& 1995, her works were selected for “ The Grand Shell Discovery Art Exhibition’, Singapore. She was recipient of Honorable Mention at `The Phillip Morris Asian Art Award Competition, Malaysia ( 1995 ). A member of the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts Alumni, Malaysia, Penang Art Society, Malaysia and Friends of CFA Penang, Malaysia (Conservatory of Fine Arts). Her works are in the collection of Ministry of Foreign Affairs Singapore and many private collectors from Australia, France, Denmark, Japan, Thailand, Indonesia and Hong Kong. |
