Graduated BA - Applied Arts at Fine Arts college Seoul National Univ./Seoul, Korea in 1963 and in 1979 she received her MA degree for Crafts at  Kyung Hee Univ. Graduate school at Seoul, Korea. Recipient of MA degree in Dye & Textile , Tokyo National University, Japan in 1980. In 2003, she received her Ph.D for Plastic Arts from Daegu Univ. graduate school / Daegu, Korea. Professor Kim Ji Hee currently served as the Director of Museum of Natural Dye Arts. She is the Emeritus Prof. of Daegu Catholic University and currently served as the Chairpeson of INWAA- Korea.

Kim Ji Hee has held 20 solo exhibitions as listed at below:
1977~1999- 6 solo-Exhibitions at Daegu Department Gallery, Yi-mok Gallery, Hyundai Gallery Seoul, Dong-A Gallery Daegu, Ye-narh Gallery Seoul & Debec Plaza Gallery Daegu. 1996~2003-  5 Solo-Exhibition for Natural Dye at Daegu Department Gallery, Ye-narh Gallery Seoul, Debec Plaza Gallery Daegu & Chungsan Gaellry Daegu, MBC Gallery M) . 1980~2002 , 7 Solo-Exhibition for Natural Dye at Ginza Tokyo, Paris France, Copenhagen Denmark, Colmar France, Iowa Museum in Iowa University USA, Asian Center in UBC Canada & Robert Hillestad Textile Gallery in University of Nebraska Lincoln USA.

She has participated in numerous group exhibition including 2001- Textile Arts Show at Colmar France, 2003 Fashion Show for Natural dye at Kunching Malaysia (2003 Echo-Fiber and Textile Forum), 2005 Prof. Kim, Ji-Hee’s Solo-exhibition for retirement festival. (Daegu Culture and Arts Center)

金芝希1963年毕业于汉城国立大学的美术学院的应用美术系。1 979年，她考获了Kyung Hee大学硕士，主修工艺美术。1980年考获日本东京国立大学硕士，主修织染。在2003年，她从大邱大学颁发博士文凭。金芝希在韓國是有名的學者，擁有私人博物館；畢生追尋恢復被遺忘的傳統技藝，重現古物風貌；更研發新技藝，發揚染色藝術。 目前金芝希教授担任韩国植物染博物馆总监。她是大邱天主教大学的名誉教授, 同时也是世界女艺术家韩国分会长。
