Artist Statement

My art originates from childlike innocence.
My mind originates from Zhuangzi:

“Forgetting things, forgetting nature, this is called forgetting the self. One who forgets the self is to be at one with nature.”

My life orginates from Flower Adornment Sutra: “Like the lotus, not set in water, Like the sun and the moon, not tied to space.”

Grateful that all these are getting more and more beautiful, Grateful that I am getting more and more single-minded.

我的藝術師承童真。
我的心靈師承莊子之「忘乎物,忘乎天,其名為忘己。忘己之人是之謂入於天。」

我的生命師承華嚴經之「猶如蓮華不著水,亦如日月不住空。」

感謝這一切越來越美麗，

感謝我越來越專一。

Nancy Koh acquired the dharma name Akasha Garbha (quintessence of the sky). Native place: Fujian Province, China; born in Malaysia.

Root guru: Dzongsar Khyentse Rinpoche.
Studied painting under Prof. Ting Yen-Yung.
Currently served as Securities and Investment advisor

Conviction:     
To be a ready servant of art, launching art for charity and education

Motto:
No disturbance by contradictions;No confinement by ideals

Recent works:
Passion for Art by Nancy Koh (painting album),
Sandalwoods Dreams (collection of poems),
First Leaf of Dream Song (verse musical),
Quintessence of the Sky (painting album).

Fund raised through the sale of these books and some of her artwork, were donated to several charities.

A frequent guest exhibitor at international exhibitions of women artists, Koh has held her own painting and calligraphy charity exhibitions in Singapore, Malaysia and Hong Kong.

She has also had the opportunity to paint a portrait of Mother Mary for a catholic church in Shanghai, China.

Koh’s paintings and calligraphic works are treasured by private collectors and art museums.

Koh’s guiding spirit of “complying with benevolence, dabbling in the arts” is precisely following in the footsteps of her late fater, Dato’Koh Pen Ting, whose testament was “Be charitable, do good”.

許月白，又名 Nancy Koh， 皈依法名 Akasha Garbha。祖藉: 福建，生長於馬來西亞。皈依上師: 宗薩欽哲寧波切。繪畫老師:丁衍庸教授。目前職務：証券投資顧問。

心聲：此生甘為藝奴, 願藝術為慈善、教育效力

銘記：不被矛盾所干擾;不被理想所囚禁

近年出版作品：
許月白書畫情懷，旃檀之夢，第一頁夢歌，虛空月白。

出版書著及書畫作品皆作慈善義賣。    

曾多次應邀參加世界女畫家聯展。還曾在新加坡、馬來西亞、香港等地舉行個人慈善書畫展。書畫被私人及美術館珍藏。亦有緣為上海天主教堂畫聖母像。

許月白「依於仁，游於藝」的精神正是遵循她的父親拿督許平等先生「為仁為善」的遺風。
