Born in 1938 and graduated in 1964 from the Traditional Chinese Painting Department of the Central Academy of Fine Arts, Zhuang Shouhong is a professor of the Academy of Arts and Design of Tsinghua University, and a member of the Chinese Artists’ Association.

Zhuang Shouhong’s works are selected into the Exhibition of Chinese Painting in the Last 100 Years, the Exhibition of National Works of Fine Arts, and edited into the Complete Works of Chinese Modern Fine Arts, the Master Works of Chinese Painting: the Last 100 Years and the Selected Works of Chinese Contemporary Artists. Zhuang’s paintings are widely collected by the National Art Gallery, Beijing Tian An Men Gate Tower, the Chinese Embassy in Australia, and the culture institutions in Taiwan and Macao. The Album of Zhuang Shouhong Paintings, the Chinese Artist and Calligraphist Zhuang Shouhong come out at different times. Zhuang Shouhong has been to the U.S., Russia, Europe, Australia, and Africa for inspection tour and exchanges. Based on the traditional Chinese painting, she absorbs extensively the quintessence from the western and eastern arts, and with the broad sentiments of a modern person, she makes exploration on the new language and new form of the freehand brushwork painting of flowers and birds in all bearings, thus forming her artistic style——bold and unrestrained, unsophisticated and full of humane ambience.

庄寿红，1938年生

1964年毕业于中央美术学院中国画系。现为清华大学美术学院教授，中国美术家协会会员。

曾先后赴美国、俄罗斯、欧洲、澳洲及非洲多地做艺术参考与交流。

她在传统中国画的基础上，广泛吸纳东西方艺术的精华，以当代人的审美情怀，对写意花鸟画的新语言、新形态做了多方位的探索，形成了自己奔放、淳厚和富有人文气息的艺术风格。

作品入选百年中国画展、全国美术作品展，并入编《中国现代美术全集》、《百年中国画集》、《中国当代美术家图录》等。

作品被中国美术馆、北京天安门城楼、中国驻澳大利亚大使馆以及台湾、澳门等文化机构收藏，并有《庄寿红画集》、《中国画家庄寿红》等出版。
