Born in Shanghai in 1949 (with the ancestral home in Shaoxing, Zhejiang province), Ms. Zhao Xiaomo graduated in 1969 from the High School Affiliated to Central Academy of the Fine Arts and in 1980 from the post-graduate class at the Printmaking Department, China Central Academy of Fine Arts.

As the former Associate Editor of “Chinese Printmaking”, Ms. Zhao has been working as an artist, editor and publisher in People’s Fine Arts Publishing House since 1981. She is entitled as a member of China Artist Association, member of Chinese Print-Painting Artist Association and National First Class Artist.

Her works had been selected by national-level and international fine arts exhibitions held in France, Japan, USA, Canada, UK, etc., such as “50 Year of Chinese Printmaking”, “Exhibition of Chinese Women Artists”, “International Women Artists Works Exhibition”, etc. Among which, series on “Wedding and Funeral” were awarded the First Prize in the First Folk Genre Painting Contest

赵晓沫，1949年出生于上海，祖籍浙江绍兴。

1969年毕业于中央美术学院附中，1980年毕业于中央美术学院版画系研究生班。

1981年至人民美术出版社，从事美术创作及编辑出版工作，曾任《中国版画》副主编。

现为中国美术家协会会员、中国版画家协会会员，国家一级美术师。

作品曾多次参加全国类美术作品展览及国外（法国、日本、美国、加拿大、英国等）各类型展览，如：“中国版画50年展” 、“中国女画家精英展”、“世界女艺术家作品展”等。其中，组画《红白喜事》曾获首届中国风俗画大奖赛一等奖。

作品曾被中国美术馆、江苏省美术馆、美国亚洲艺术协调议会、英国欧洲木版画基金会收藏。
