Lifang Yao was born in Wuyishan, Fujian Province of China in 1978. She graduated from Fujian Normal University College of Fine Arts with a Master of Arts degree in 2003, and has been teaching in the College of Fine Arts at Fujian Normal University since then. She visited Northern Arizona University of USA as a visiting scholar during Aug. 2006 to Jan. 2007. She is a member of the Fujian Artists Association as well.
She mainly practices the gouache style of painting, using brush, ink, opaque water color, and Korean rice paper. A series of four named “The Wild Gooses” gained the silver award at the tenth National Art Exhibition of China in 2004, and were collected by the National Art Museum of China. Another work named “Playing Shuttlecock” was shown at the Sixth National Physical Culture Exhibition, and was collected by the National Physical Culture Museum of China in 2005. In 2006, Seventeen paintings were shown in a three-artist group exhibition with the title “Special Art of the Orient” in Hudgens Gallery of Fine Art Gallery in Arizona, USA. Various other works have been shown at numerous art exhibitions and have been published in professional magazines.

姚莉芳，女，1978年9月生于福建武夷山。2000年毕业于福建师范大学美术学院，获学士学位； 2003年7月毕业福建师范大学美术学院并获硕士学位，同年留校任教。2006年8月至2007年1月，作为访问学者公派前往美国北亚立桑那大学进行访问学习，现为福建师范大学美术学院讲师，福建省美术家协会会员。

主要参展：

2004.8,《雁儿们》等四幅系列作品获第十届全国美术作品展银奖，2004年12月作品参加第十届全国美展获奖作品展，2005.5，作品被中国美术馆收藏。

2005.5，作品《戏菊》入选第六届全国体育美术作品展，选送参加2006年9月第四届北京2008奥林匹克文化节“中国体育美术精品展”，并被中国体育博物馆永久收藏。

2006.11，在美国亚立桑那州Hudgens Gallery of Fine Art画廊举办主题为“Special Art of the Orient”三人联展。
