Wang Ying chun was born in March 1942 in Taiyuan, Shanxi Province. She enrolled at the secondary school affiliated to the Xian Academy of Fine Arts in 1957 to study Chinese painting and sculpture and graduated from the academy Department of Chinese Painting in 1966. From 1978 to 1980, she completed a graduate course in the Department of Chinese Painting at the Central Academy of Fine Arts. During this time, she became a member of the Chinese Artists Association and was elected as a member of the All China Youth Federation. She was engaged in 1980 in the study of artistic creation in the Artistic Creation Group of Chinese Painting of the Ministry of Culture, participated in the founding of the Academy of Chinese Painting and became head of its Creative and Research Department. She is now an Artist of the First Grade at the Academy of Chinese Painting, a specialist of outstanding achievements of the Ministry of Culture, member of the Art Committee of Chinese Painting and council member of the Chinese Artists Association, member of the Judging Committee for National Senior Artist Professional Titles of the Ministry of Culture, honorary chairwoman of the Beijing Association of Female Painters, vice-chairwoman of the Beijing Association of Female Artists, council member of the China Overseas Friendship Association and a deputy to the 11th Beijing Municipal People Congress. Wang Ying chun participated in the 6th, 7th and 8th “National Fine Art Exhibition”; the “National Traditional Chinese Painting Exhibition“ in 1993; the “Asian Joint Exhibition for Ink and Wash Painting“ in Japan in 2004; the “Century Demean our-Exhibition of China’s Contemporary Art Masters“ in 2004 1942年生于山西省太原市，汉族。 1966年西安美术学院国画系毕业。 1980年中央美术学院研究生毕业。 中国画研究院一级美术师，文化部特殊贡献专家，中国美协国画艺委会会员，文化部高级职称评审委员，北京女美术家联谊会会长。 1980年展出《黄河在咆哮》，并获叶浅予奖学金，中国美术馆收藏。 1984年《太行铁壁》获第六届全国美展金奖，解放军文艺评奖大奖。 1989年《金色的梦》获第七届全国美展铜奖。 1991年《慈母手中线》纪念中国共产党七十周年全国美展展出。 1992年《熏风》第二届国际水墨画展展出。 2004年《大山的女儿》赴日参加亚洲水墨画联展，获大奖。 出版《王迎春速写集》、《王迎春画传》、《王迎春画集》、《杨力舟.王迎春画集》、《春舟水墨》等。 |
