Qiu Zhaoming, a renowned artist in China,
was born in Zhejiang, China in 1940. She is the Chief Editor of People’s
Fine Arts Publishing House and Member of Chinese Artist Association. She
graduated from Central Academy of Fine Arts with BA degree, majored in
Traditional Chinese Painting in 1964. During the years studying in
university, she learned painting from Chinese famous masters, Li Keran,
Li Kuchan, Ye Qianyu and Zong Qixiang. Ms.Qiu has won numerous prizes in
China as well as other countries. In 1990, she received the Hans
Christian Andersen Awards Nominees for her excellent illustrations for
children. She is also the first Chinese painter to win this prize. In
1999, she was awarded the honorary title of “World Chinese Outstanding
Artist” and won the International Honorary Golden Prize. In 2001, her
painting was selected and held at the Exhibition of Chinese Traditional
Painting of the Past 100 Years. In 2003, she held her individual
painting exhibition in Crown Plaza Art Gallery. Ms.Qiu’s works have been
published in all kinds of magazines. Her achievement listed in the
Dictionary of Chinese Modern Painters and Chinese Paintings Collections
of Past 100 Years. Her paintings are collected by China National Museum
and IBBY headquarter in Switzerland.

1955年入中央美院附中,1964年毕业于中央美术学院,师从李可染、李苦禅、叶浅予、宗其香等先生。
作品频繁在国内外参展获奖。
1990年获国际儿童读物联盟(IBBY)荣誉奖及国际安徒生奖提名,是第一位获此殊荣的中国人。
1999年获“世界杰出华人艺术家”称号及世界华人国际荣誉金奖。
2001年入选“百年中国画大展”,2003年在国际艺苑美术馆主办“裘兆明山水画展”。
有多种出版物面世。
入编《中国现代美术家人名大辞典》、《百年中国画集》等许多辞书及大型画册。
作品被中国国家博物馆、瑞士IBBY总部等收藏。 |
