Wei Mao, was Born in 1934 , graduated from the Central Academy of Fine Arts in 1954 in Beijing China.  She is specialized in modern Chinese ink and color painting and oil painting for landscapes. She was the Vice President of Beijing Woman Fine Artists Association, a Member of the Beijing Fine Artists Union, a Special Research Fellow/ Research Fellow of several Arts Associations in China, and a member of Markham Arts Council and Chinese Art Association of Ontario in Canada. Her works are often collected, exhibited, published both at home and abroad, and won many prizes include Special Gold prize/Sliver prize.  Two“ Wei Mao’s Paintings Collections” were published. Name:

毛  葳，1934年出生于中国四川。

1954年毕业于中央美术学院。擅长彩墨山水和油画风景。

原北京女美术家联谊会副会长，北京美术家协会会员及多个中国艺术团体的会员、研究员、特约研究员；加拿大万景艺术家协会和安省中国美术会的会员。

作品曾在中国美术馆、首都博物馆、中国香港、日本、新加坡、加拿大等地多次展出、发表并被收藏。

作品曾获得包括特别金奖在内的多种奖项，并编入《中国美术选集》、《中国当代美术家人名录》、《共和国专家成就博览》和《北美华人百家画集》等多种典籍。

出版有《中国当代美术家精品集—毛葳专集》和《毛葳画集》。

2002年，在加拿大多伦多举办“毛葳彩墨画展”。
