Ah Ge, painter of the Yi Nationality, was born in 1948 in liangshan, Sichuan. She graduated in  1964 from Sichuan Academy of Fine Arts and was then assigned to work as a professional painter with China Artists Association (Sichuan).

Her works have received a number of awards, such as the First Prize of the Ministry of Culture and China Artists Association, the bronze medal, Excellent Work, the silver medal of China’s Best Prints Exhibition, Excellent Award of China Ethnic Nationality Art Exhibition, the honorary award( with Mr. Xu Kuang) at the Fifth International Prints Contest, the award of Lu Xun Paints Exhibition. Many of her works are published on domestic and foreign periodicals, and 20 of her prints works are collected by galleries at home and abroad.

In 1987, Ah Ge exhibited her works in Japan, and 1996, she spent half a year at France International Art City, and exhibited her works. Her works are also collected in the 50-year China Arts and the Album of China Moders Wood Carving. In 1995, Sichuan Ethnic Nationality Press published the “Ah Ge Prints Collection”.

Ah Ge is currently council member of China Artists Association, deputy director of the Prints Art Committee of China Artist Association, the first-class artist, vice chairman of Sichuan Artists Association. She receives the honorary subsidy from the State Council.

1948年出生于四川凉山，彝族。

1964年毕业于四川美术学院民族班后，被选留在四川省美协从事专业美术工作至今。

现为中国美协理事，中国美协版画艺委会副主任，国家一级美术师，享受国务院特殊津贴专家，四川省美协副主席，神州版画博物馆馆长。

作品曾4次获文化部中国美协联合颁发的全国美展一等奖、铜质奖、优秀作品奖，全国版画展银质奖，全国少数民族画展优秀作品奖，第五届国际版画比赛荣誉奖，中国鲁迅版画奖等。

作品多次在国内外刊物发表。

有二十多件版画作品被国内外美术馆收藏。

1987年到日本访问并举办画展。

1996年到法国巴黎国际艺术城进修考察，并成功举办个人版画展览。

作品收录在《中国美术五十年》、《中国版画百年》等大型画册中。

1995年出版画册《阿鸽版画》。
